The Miata is the most successful sports car ever, mostly because it's been produced continuously for almost 30 years now! Loved around the world!
This is a great date car
A note on over-mileage: I am willing to work with you on miles. I give good discounts for over-mileage to good renters who upload the required photos and follow the directions, and inform me about the overmileage. Just ask me! Thanks
This is a beautiful and fun sporty little number. Mazda set out to capture the spirit of European roadsters. You can enjoy the lineage of the legendary Miata, designed in California.
The car is remarkably stable on the road and has a feel far more solid than it looks. It has a strong and responsive 2.0 liter engine with rear wheel drive, and makes a lovely sound when revving. The 6 speed automatic transmission is surprisingly smooth and downshifting is not jerky at all. Paddle shifters make driving an automatic, well, feel a bit manual - if you want. This is a straightforward, no nonsense fun sports car.
As Jay Leno says - Fun is not going fast, but going swiftly! Google Doug DeMuro or Jay Leno Miata for great youtube videos explaining why the Miata is one of the funnest cars to drive!
Note this is an older vehicle and has its share of scrapes from San Francisco. It's also parked on the street so it may not be super clean. If you want to get a wash, I'll pay you back for it. Thanks for your understanding! It's a 2006 and has character as a result. When it's warmed up there are some noises, with idling. I find that at a long stoplight, shifting into neutral quietens the drivetrain
Parked on the street. Even though SF is not easy, where it's parked in SOMA there are spots virtually every day in the afternoon and evenings are no problem at all. The only exception is Monday night because of street sweeping. I know the streets around here very well, so ask me - I can help you find a spot. Text me if you have questions or need help. If you have to return in the morning you can park in the lot at 450 5th st If it's late morning (11am or later), some days during business hours I can allow you to park at a 2 hr spot or at a meter - but only by arrangement via text. Be aware you are responsible for any tickets that are a result of misparking.
