The ABM lot is directly across the street from the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina and is a 6-12 minute walk from both airport terminals. Many of our renters walk to our location. However, if you don’t feel like a quick walk in the gorgeous San Diego weather, UBER and LYFT rides are easily accessible outside each terminal. Unfortunately, curb-side pick-up is illegal at the San Diego Airport. PICK-UP:////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// LUSO's on-site lot attendant can help get your trip get off with a breeze. Additionally, we offer convenient lock boxes for easy pick-up and drop-off when we are not on-site. LOCKBOX PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS://////////////////////////////////////////////////// Key lockboxes are located at the entrance of LUSO's lot, and are opened with a numeric key code. We will message you the code to your key box before the trip starts. Each lockbox is clearly labeled and located on the guard shack at the entrance of the ABM parking lot. !!! FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES IT IS IMPERATIVE !!! If picking up by lockbox, before you leave with the vehicle YOU MUST: 1. Take a selfie holding your valid drivers' license next to your face 2. take another clear photo of your drivers license and 3. upload these photos to Trip Photos in the TURO App OR text to 619-315-3587. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID INSURANCE, CANCEL THE TRIP AND YOU WILL NEED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE PROMPTLY. VEHICLE RETURN:///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Please park in the same area that you picked up the vehicle, either in front of the LUSO parking signs or in front of the white LUSO cones.     We provide convenient options for easy after-hours pickup and drop-off. After booking we will contact you with more details.
  • Can I let someone else drive the car?
    Only the person who rents the car is insured to drive the vehicle. If you expect that someone else might drive the vehicle, simply upload their valid driver license to the TURO app. It’s very easy to do. Unfortunately, failure to do this will cause insurance to be void, and you will be personally liable for the full cost of any damage.

  • Returning a car late?
    If you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage. Please note that sometimes a vehicle has back-to-back rentals and can be going out only an hour after it’s returned. Any late return will lead to a late return fee according to Turo regulations.
  • What if there is damage to the vehicle or I get into an accident?
    Please notify us of any damage or accidents that happen during your rental. We appreciate your honesty and will work with you to solve the problem.
  • Can I take the car into Mexico?
    Absolutely Not. TURO's insurance policy does not cover vehicles outside the USA. This is strictly prohibited.
  • Need to pick up the car early?
    Simply log into the app and change your pick-up time. Insurance coverage is only valid during the booked time listed on the app. We kindly ask that if you need to pick up the vehicle early that you go into the TURO app and adjust your rental time accordingly. It’s very easy to do. (TURO does not want us to release a vehicle to a renter unless the rental period has started.) Likewise, if you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage.

Very easy pickup and drop-off. LUSO cleans the cars so it feels like an actual rental. It is "walk-able" but not convenient and UBER is way to go. ($7). Great communication with LUSO, answered all questions. Camry was awesome, no problems, some have noted back window being not easy to see out of. We didn't have that problem at all so maybe it was repaired.

Had a great & swift experience using Turo my 1st time! Only complaints front windshield was not cleaned- very streaky & back windshield was bubbled everywhere so obstructed my vision which was disappointing being my first time driving in Cali. But over all good rental experience.
