The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette ranks near the top of our luxury sports car class thanks to its excellent combination of sporty performance, interior comfort, and livability. It’s a great car for weekend fun or the daily commute.
The Corvette is a pleasure to drive – and very quick. The Corvette Stingray has a potent 6.2-liter V8 that makes 455 horsepower (460 horsepower with the available performance exhaust) and 460 pound-feet of torque. A supercharged 6.2-liter V8 makes 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque and rockets the Corvette Z06 up to speed in no time. The Stingray can go from zero to 60 mph in as little as 3.8 seconds, with an eight-speed automatic. The Stingray gets up to 17 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, which is excellent for a V8-powered sports car.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is equipped with a Driver Mode Selector, which adjusts performance characteristics to match the driver's preferences. The Stingray delivers plenty of thrills around corners, while staying level and composed. There's plenty of grip to let you keep your speed up, too. When you're done having your fun, the Corvette settles down with a comfortable ride to let you cruise back home.
The Corvette has nice interior materials and a sporty design that angles displays and controls towards the driver, making it feel like the cockpit of an airplane. The standard seats have ample side support to hold you in place. Coupes have a removable tinted roof panel.
Don't think for a second that the Corvette is a stripped-out sports car inside. There are loads of standard features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a Bose premium audio system, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and an 8-inch touch-screen MyLink infotainment system. There's 15 cubic feet of cargo space in Corvette coupe models, which is great for a sports car. It's almost as much room as in some midsize sedans. Convertible models have only 10 cubic feet of trunk space.
