Matt didn’t come off friendly initially, he did not greet or say hello when we first met him. All that was said was “Are you my Turo?”. Along with that, the cars body had more than 10 cosmetic flaws, ranging from dents to scratches with what seemed to be cheap touch up paint. Along side that, before leaving Matt had to show us how to roll up the rear windows. He told us we had to roll them up, then physically pull the glass closed, otherwise there would be a gap between the driver side windows and the rear. The interior was falling apart, LITERALLY. The rubber seals were hanging by a thread , the steering wheel was peeling and some of the plastic pieces were broken off. When we were finally ready to leave, he then told us, “As you can see I just washed the car, so I expect it back the same way” However, the car was clean for the most part, but definitely did not look or smell like (interior) like it just came from getting washed. Not to mention the car had a check engine light, which made the driving experience feel unsafe. Upon returning the car, we told him “Thank you for the business” in which he replied “Ok”.
The listing wasn’t clear nor did it list any of these issues.
The entire interaction and FIRST Turo experience was unfortunately horrendous, and makes me hesitant to using the app again.
