As soon as I got into the 2017 Chevy Sonic I rented, it reeked of weed. There was hardly any gas left in the car and the tire pressure sensor was on. If I wasn’t in a desperate situation, I would’ve never even picked the car up. Upon arriving to the location, I was told that the “Visitors” gate entrance had been damaged and that I should follow another car in through the “Resident” entrance. I would advise anyone against renting.
The car was clean and worked well for the most part. It was slightly annoying that the windows weren’t automatic (you have to crank them like most older cars, even though it’s a 2017 model). The thing I found weirdest about the car was that it smelled strongly of what I thought was vape juice. This was confusing due to the many warnings in the description and a large patch that says “No Smoking” inside the car. I’m not sure if this smell was because of a previous Turo user or the owner, but it was bizarre. Otherwise, Furgence was extremely communicative, and handled everything with grace
