Parking details

All LUSO cars are conveniently located at the ABM Airport Parking lot and are a 6-12 minute walk from both San Diego terminals. If you don’t feel like a quick walk in the gorgeous San Diego weather, UBER and LYFT rides are easily accessible outside each terminal. There is no shuttle.

  • Can I let someone else drive the car?
    Only the person who rents the car is insured to drive the vehicle. If you expect that someone else might drive the vehicle, simply upload their valid driver license to the TURO app. It’s very easy to do. Unfortunately, failure to do this will cause insurance to be void, and you will be personally liable for the full cost of any damage.

  • How do after-hours pickups and drop-offs work?
    We provide convenient options for easy after-hours pickup and drop-off. After booking we will contact you with more details.
  • Need to pick up the car early?
    Simply log into the app and change your pick-up time. Insurance coverage is only valid during the booked time listed on the app. We kindly ask that if you need to pick up the vehicle early that you go into the TURO app and adjust your rental time accordingly. It’s very easy to do. (TURO does not want us to release a vehicle to a renter unless the rental period has started.) Likewise, if you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage.
  • Can I take the car into Mexico?
    Absolutely Not. TURO's insurance policy does not cover vehicles outside the USA. This is strictly prohibited.
  • Returning a car late?
    If you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage. Please note that sometimes a vehicle has back-to-back rentals and can be going out only an hour after it’s returned. Any late return will lead to a late return fee according to Turo regulations.
  • What if there is damage to the vehicle or I get into an accident?
    Please notify us of any damage or accidents that happen during your rental. We appreciate your honesty and will work with you to solve the problem.

Car drives good, Luso is easy to work with. Wish the instruction was clearer about pickup on Christmas is after hour. I will recommend Luso for renting in San Diego.

Renting from Luso was a great experience. Their lot was a short walk from the terminal, pickup and drop off was a breeze. They also upgraded me to an Audi A4 because the A3 I was supposed to get had to go to the garage. I would definitely use them again the next time I'm in San Diego.

This was my first time renting from Turo, and it was a satisfying experience. The car looks great and was very clean. I was shocked at how cheap it was for how nice it was. Would definitely rent from LUSO again if I am ever back in town!
